Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Even Finish Foundation

Months ago I was in Norwich killing time and somehow stumbled upon the Bobbi Brown counter in House of Fraser. I was talked into trying Bobbi's Long-Wear Even Finish Foundation with SPF15. I had only previously tried their Eye Cream and Cleansing Oil, both of which I quite liked.

Anyway, being a foundation junkie and always on the hunt for the one, I was keen to try this. It's been sitting in my drawer for a few months now and I have applied this to my face only a handful of times. This is one product I really cannot get on with. First of all, the texture is really quite thick and a little on the gloopy side.

When you apply to the skin it blends in well enough, however it offers hardly any coverage. It covers no redness and clings to every single dry spot on the face. From the consistency of the foundation, you would expect the formula to be creamy, it's not. It seems to dry my dry skin out even more.

The lasting power isn't great and the product fades in a patchy way on the skin. Some foundations seems to fade evenly, however Long-Wear Even Finish doesn't.

Unfortunately this is a thumbs down for me and one foundation I personally just can't get to grips with. I so wanted to love it.

If you've tried this, you have dry/dehydrated skin and you love this foundation, please let me know. Likewise, if this is one which just doesn't suit you, I'd also love to know.

What foundation are you really loving at the moment?
