The Interview: 12 Questions With Scarlet Slippers, blogging, beauty q and a

A few months ago I interviewed a couple of bloggers, which I really enjoyed.  I love finding out all about my compatriots so, I decided to start up again.  Today it's time to meet the lovely Charlotte, or as you may know her Scarlet Slippers. Look at that highlight girl, you are positively glowing!

What are your top 3 Holy Grail products?
My first holy grail product has to be the Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade in Chocolate - it has literally saved my sparse brows and improved the shape by 100%. I also cannot live without my Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess. The formula is easily blendable and improves my complexion even on a bad skin day. Finally, I absolutely love the Revlon Lash Potion mascara - it volumises and lengthens my lashes at the same time, something I find difficult when searching for the perfect mascara.

What are your top 3 tips to improve an already established blog?
My number one tip would definitely be to ensure you have a schedule and post content on a regular basis - even if you know you are going to be busy for the next week or two, make time to prepare images and posts prior to busy times so that you remain consistent. Readers love consistency and will be more likely to keep reading.

I also think improving image quality is a great factor to aid the establishment of your blog. When I increased my image content after purchasing a new camera, my views rocketed. I wouldn't necessarily say you have to buy a DSLR camera, you could just simply improve the background of your images, to make them appeal to your target audience.

My last tip would be to ensure you have easily accessible social media handles - not only is this good for people to find you, lots of brands and companies come in contact with you this way. It is also a great way to interact and get to know the people who read your content.

If you could pick any mascara, which would you buy?
Revlon Lash Potion!

If you could only choose 1 item to take around the world, what would you take?
I would take my camera - I am obsessed with taking photos and would love to capture images from all around the world.

And where would you go?
Definitely Greece, specifically Mykonos. I think the Greek streets look super pretty and I would love to visit some of the famous monuments there.

The Soap and Glory Brow Archery - this may be controversial but I honestly do not get on with it at all!
