B-PERFECT'S BANANA NUDE MINERAL POWDER: ONE TO RIVAL BEN NYE'?

Dubbed the UK version of Ben Nye's famous Banana Powder, I have something exciting to share with you all today.

BPerfect kindly offered to send me their own version (Banana Nude Mineral Powder) to try. I have to be honest, first impressions of this weren't that great. The packaging isn't particularly special, however appearances can be deceptive. You shouldn't judge a book, or in this case a pot by its cover.

The actual foundation has the same texture as Bare Minerals. It's very easy to blend onto the skin and the colour match is pretty good (shade: nude),  It seemed slightly on the pale side for me, however this is nothing a good bronzer couldn't fix. Buffing this onto the skin, provides an even coverage, covering redness and leaving skin looking smooth and flawless.  You could apply this as a setting powder, by using a light hand or as a foundation in its own right.  This product is also light enough to blend over concealer under the eyes and it doesn't cake, so is ideal to set with.

The finish is rather matte, certainly not dewy. So if you're going for that dewy look, maybe this isn't for you. However I am sure applying bronzer, highlighter and finishing off with a setting spray then it may be achievable.

Packed with SPF15, this Banana Powder can be used all over as a foundation or if you pick up a slightly darker shade (Spice), it would also be perfect to contour with.

There are no chemicals, perfumes, parabens or preservatives and it contains anti-inflammatory properties so is perfect for redness and acne.

I've not used mineral foundation for a long time, the last one I bought was Bare Minerals, I generally seem to get on better with liquid foundations. With all that said, I do really like this product, it won't stop me using my liquid versions any time soon, but for lighter coverage it's really rather good.

Have you tried this product yet or Ben Nye's version?  What do you think?
