New In: From The Drugstore

So I went to Boots and in actual fact didn't go too mad, I just picked up a few bits and bobs.  So here's a small haul to let you all in on.

Barry M's Chisel Cheeks Contour Kit has to have the first mention. Ever since I have been sculpting out cheek bones with the amazing Kevyn Aucoin's Sculpting Powder I have been looking for a cheaper dupe/alternative. Now this kit comes with a medium brown, dark brown and highlight powder. Definitely not a dupe at first glance, however I am keen to give this a go so will report back once I have tried fully.

Now I love a primer, and hate shine. Natural shine/midday shine is ok, but full on sweaty shine, is a no go, so when I spotted Revlon's Photoready Prime and Anti Shine balm, I was intrigued. I picked up 010 Transparent. This feels like a silicone type balm.  It is very unusual and nothing like I already have in my collection.  It comes with a small flat sponge to apply. Another one to report on soon.

Seventeen also drew me in, although targeted to a younger market, the products are generally really good. Loving long-term wear foundations Stay Time caught my eye.  On first impressions, this looks maybe a little on the heavy side for me, as the formula does seems very thick.

On the lighter side their CC Cream has long been a favourite and I have yet to find one better. Re-purchased, this is now my 4th tube and one of the only products I regularly finish. Another repeat buy was Seventeen's Beehive lipstick, a pretty pink, natural colour, perfect for daily wear.

Another favourite; the best makeup wipes ever, Yes to Blueberries. They clean, hydrate. Get rid of dirt and makeup. Non-drying and do a great job. No substitute for a full cleanse and tone, but great all the same.

Hailed as a dupe for Urban Decay's Naked Basics palette, I wanted to see what all the fuss was about, so Collection's Eyes Uncovered was snapped up too.

Last off to hit the basket were 3 of  Barry M's New Speedy quick dry nail paints and also their Flawless Matte Powder. Painting my nails with this, they seem to take around 1 minute to dry, still a little tacky and 2 minutes to completely dry. Impressed so far. Their powder is packaged very similarly to MAC's Mineralize Skin Finish, I wonder if it will be as good?
