Laura Mercier Golden Honey Bath - Overpriced or Worth the Hype?

I love nothing more at the end of the day to collapse into a bubble bath. It has to be a shower every morning without fail, and then a warm, relaxing soak before bed.  The most expensive baths I generally have are using Lush's bath bombs, other than that I normally use something for dry skin, like Sanex or E45, which both work wonders. When I received this pot at Christmas (complete with the matching body cream), I felt spoilt. This is not an everyday bath product. This is one to savour and enjoy.

I love the packaging. It looks and feels expensive in the glass jar and the wooden honey dipper is so cute. Literally twirl the dipper into the centre of the pot, scoop and hold under the hot running water. The scent is heavenly. It really feels like you are pouring runny honey into your bath. It foams up momentarily, however the bubbles to do not last long. The fragrance lingers and hours later from the bottom of the stairs I can still smell the rich, sweet honey.

Skin feels squeaky clean and fairly hydrated, however I still need to use a moisturiser afterwards.

It's indulgent. It's on the pricey side.  However it is a truly lovely product to enjoy, especially when you really wish to have a pamper session.
