Neal's Yard Wild Rose Beauty Balm

My skin seems dry at the moment, and I have been trying out all kinds of hydrating masks and nothing seems to be offering that much needed moisture hit.

Neal's Yard's Wild Rose Beauty Balm had been collecting dust for a while now in its pretty limited edition pot. Just sitting on the bathroom window-sill waiting to be used.  Being a real skin care fanatic and loving cleansing balms and oils, I decided to give this a whirl to see how great it really is. And if it could sort out my dehydrated skin.

As much as I love applying makeup, I love removing it just as much.  I am quite sure some of you think I am a little mad and will find this task a little on the tedious side, but I really do love the end of day and going to bed with a squeaky clean face. Cleansing, toning, serums, oils, balms, lotions, masks and creams, well I am obsessed.

This little pot must be one of the prettiest items in my collection and looks an absolute treat sitting in my bathroom. The consistency of the balm is on the thick side, you need the smallest amount, it leaves skin so ultra clean, feeling plump and oh so soft. It works quickly to remove everything, even waterproof mascara melts away with ease.  I use a muslin cloth to wipe away all traces of the balm (one is provided), which leaves no oily residue.

I have been using this balm for days now and have noticed a significant difference to my dry skin. Even after one use, it felt softer and more hydrated. The fragrance is beautiful. I could quite easily drift off to sleep. This is perfect to use at the end of the day (or indeed any time).

Well worth the hefty price tag.
