It was on the cards for a while. The high-end wish list was growing and growing. I drew a line, splurged and stocked up on those much lusted after products.  It took 6 months to get my hands on Charlotte Tilbury's Filmstar Bronze and Glow. The packaging is swoon worthy, beautiful, prone to finger marks, but luxe to the max. I loved this product before I even used it. It has come out on more than one occasion, however I am still getting to grips with it.

Since getting a much needed beauty fix at Space NK recently, I bit the bullet and bought the bits I had been lusting after for months.

My skin has been suffering lately. Generally it's pretty good, apart from the odd dry patch and hormonal spot. But lately, well let's just say, I have avoided wearing foundation, as it seems to stick to every dry patch I have and then causes spots the next day. Not quite sure what's going on, there have been no major changes to diet, no significant skincare changes and I have been drinking my water allowance each day. Anyway I have used Glam Glow before and it just works, sucking out that dirt and grime.  Ooooh lovely, but clear skin is coming my way. So let's get it on.

After using up Christian Dior's Creme De Rose lipbalm, loving it and then finding out it has been discontinued (unless you want to hit Sephora online and pay high postage costs), I needed an alternative. By Terry's Baume De Rose, seems so far a great balm and a worthy replacement. Fairly thick, smells lovely and hydrating.

Eyeshadow.  Quite honestly I want to apply it well, but I just can't seem to fathom it out.  I have Urban Decay's palettes, CT's Dolce Vita and more, so it's not the product that's the problem.  It ends up everywhere and creases. I have however now found a solution to my shadow problem.  Nars Eyelid Primer, By Terry's Ombré Blackstars and a MAC 217.

So I wasn't going to splurge, however I did. Nars and By Terry just work so well together.  Nars' Eyeshadow Primer provides a smooth, tacky base. The Blackstar's blend beautifully and provide a lovely, rich wash of colour. It lasts. It's pretty and even I can apply. Drugstore dupes of these magic pencils are great, By Terrys's are fantastic and worth the hype. Misty Rock and Bronze Moon have become regulars in my every day routine.

The only impulse buy was Nars' Luster blush. So girly, so fresh, giving luminosity to the skin. Perfect for spring/summer, I have just fallen in love with this. Every other cheek product has been forgotten about and is collecting dust.

The last product to come home with me was Eyeko's Brow Gel, which remains unused so far. I'm quite into polished, neat brows at the moment though, so am looking forward to seeing what it can do.  Oh, and I picked up a Jurlique Hand Sanitiser.

Splurge done, time to tighten the purse strings.
