The Body Shop, smoky poppy, body butter, shower gel

Look at that packaging. Eye-catching. Then the name draws me in, Smoky Poppy. It doesn't take take alot to get me hooked, and The Body Shop's newest range did just that.

The scent is indeed smoky. Seductive, almost peppery. I can't quite put my finger on it, however this stuff smells good. Really good. The body butter is rich, non greasy and easily melts into the skin. Some butters you have to wait to dry before you can whack your jeans on. This is not the case, with Poppy, it dried within a couple of minutes. I am writing this post, with my nose immersed in the pot. It's divine.

The shower gel, hits the same spot. The scent is invigorating, it wakes me up, moisturises the skin beautifully and layered with the body butter the scent seems to last all day.  Recently I invested in Jo Malone's limited edition Birch & Black Pepper Cologne, which seems to hit the same spicy notes. If this isn't in your budget, then you can also pick up The Body Shop's Eau De Toilette, which is very similar.

Trying to improve my nails, I thought I would try the new Sweet Almond Oil Nail Polish Remover. Expecting a non-nail polish remover smell, this is strong stuff. It smells like nail polish remover and certainly not almonds  However it does the job effectively, one swipe and all traces of last weeks polish are gone. It's meant to be gentle, the almond oil is good for your nails and cuticles. And I've heard on the grapevine it removes glitter polish as well.  Great stuff.
