Benefit Big Easy

This is my second time of writing this post.  Yesterday I had it all ready to go, pictures taken, edited and added.  The post was written, I had added the 'Labels' and 'Scheduled' it - not for the past and not an obscure date in the future and it has magically disappeared. No-where to be seen and I didn't delete it! If you do come across this randomly on my blog, please let me know and I will delete!

I have not read a bad review on this product anywhere and initially wasn't going to write this post again, however as I really dislike this product, I thought that I wanted to let you know why, so here goes.

Benefit Big Easy

First off, I love the packaging who wouldn't?  In the normal Benefit quirky style it is packaged beautifully.  The shade match is great, I opted for fair and it suits my skin perfectly, it does blend in seamlessly and is a great shade.  It's not the easiest product to work with, it does take a little time to blend in. I found that the easiest way to apply is to use your fingertips.  Even using a Real Techniques brush did not help to blend.  It seems that the warmth from your fingers really helps.  It is extremely light coverage, it's not meant to be heavy coverage or even medium, so if that is what you are looking for then this is not for you.  I was quite surprised, as even though this dries to a powder finish, I felt the need to apply powder as well to set this.

Big Easy is not ideal for dry skin, as it does stick to dry patches and cakes up (even after intense moisturising, before applying).  It does state on the packaging it can be buildable, however I applied 2 layers and then Rimmel Stay Matte Powder on my t-zone and it didn't make any difference or last any longer.

Benefit Big Easy

Once I had applied this it did seem to even out skin tone and any redness.  I thought to myself if it would last all day in a hot office?  Literally after 2-3 hours of applying it had completely disappeared, I know it's meant to be light coverage and 'undetectable', however there was nothing there and it didn't look like I had even applied anything.  My skin looked a hot mess. If you use this, DO NOT apply to the undereye area, as once the product has dried to a powder finish, it just sits in any fine lines, and makes them look more prominent than they actually are.  If you are wanting to use this to conceal, it is definately not suitable to cover dark circles or blemishes you would need a separate concealer or corrector for this.

Big Easy definitely sits in my collection of disappointing products.  It is certainly overpriced (at £27.50), provides hardly any/no coverage, the lasting power is crap and it leaves cakey patches on the skin.  I know there are people who will love this, think what am I talking about and completely not agree, but to me this is a BIG fail.

Benefit Big Easy

Sorry Benefit, I normally love everything from your collection, but this gets a big thumbs down from me. I would love to know if any of you like this/get on well with this.  Remember this is just my point of view, however you may love it.

What do you think? Anyone love or loathe this?
